Since its founding in 2003, Twilight Wish’s goal has been to make the world a nicer place to age, one Twilight Wish at a time. A Twilight Wish grant recognizes persons for all that they have done throughout their lives. Every wish shows them they are appreciated and valued. Wishes can connect a person to a fond memory of their past. Every wish granted celebrates a personal life story.
Tina Antonucci, Director of Life Enrichment at Palm Garden of West Palm Beach, applied for a grant from Twilight Wish Foundation for our resident Eugene. His wish was very simple- he wanted a tattoo of his favorite dog. Simple in thought, but challenging in many ways. “You can’t just go out and get a tattoo. You have to do your homework. I had to make sure we found the right tattoo professional. You have to make sure they have a good picture to work from, and then you have to review the work they’ve done in the past.” Tina explained. “And tattoos are expensive!” she added.
But that didn’t stop her because she knew how much it meant to Eugene. He so loved his dog. “So I found Twilight Wish and made an application for Gene’s wish. I remember the day I told him we got it. We were both so excited!”
Dean Koontz said, “Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one is diminished.” We’re thankful to Twilight Wish Foundation and our very own Tina for making Gene’s life enriched.
